THEME

The theme of this edition is "Climate emergency & Peace".​

​

The selected movies will have to tell or document the stories of committed african women,  stories of african women who do not resign themselves, who resist injustices and harassements, who fight to get free speech, who imagine and create solutions to make people aware of the difficulties, violences and struggles they face everyday. Stories of African women creating solutions for a better future. 

​

Films about climate change: natural disasters displace populations, leading to conflict. Films that tackle issues such as access to drinking water, pollution, the disappearance of arable land, overexploitation of forests and overfishing. Films about conflict and conflict resolution...

 

This festival is part of an educational process and is to highlight the movies (shorts and features, fictions and documentaries) dedicated to women of all Africa and its diaspora and to celebrate the filmmakers who are interested in them. Whatever the genre, origin or place of residence of the people making the films, what matters to us is the subject of the film.

CATEGORIES

The movies can be submitted in three categories :​

  • Short fiction competition

  • Feature films competition

  • Out of competition

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

​Every single movie, no matter its categorie will have to fulfill these conditions : 

​

  • the film has to have african women as main subject

  • the films that are not in french language must have french subtitles

  • the form below has to be filled and a link to watch the film has to be given to us via the form.

BEST SHORT FILM

Highschool Jury

​

  • the film must have been finalized less than two (2) years ago

  • the film must last less than sixty (60) minutes

  • the film must follow the theme Climate emergency and/or Peace

  • the film has to be a fiction or a documentary

  • the film can be in live action or animation

BEST FEATURE FILM

Film professionals Jury​

​

  • the film must have been finalized less than two (2) years ago

  • the film must last more than fifty-two (52) minutes

  • the film must follow the theme Climate emergency and/or Peace

  • the film can be a fiction or a documentary

  • the film can be in live action or animation

OUT OF COMPETITION

​

  • short and feature films

  • documentary, fiction, animation, expérimental

  • the date to wich the movie has been finalized  won't be taken in account in this category

  • the movie must follow the theme Climate emergency and/or Peace
